Don't have any satllite pics sorry. What you can see there is maybe the first 15m of a 100 meter drop. At the bottom it turns into the biggest RCP in Australia and exits into a creek bed that's atleast a days drive from any major city.
Last i checked google earth didn't have any high res images of the place. I guess it's just too far from populated areas to be hi-res worthy.

Holy hot damn, that thing is HUGE! If there weren't people in the picture serving as reference, I never would have guessed the true scale of that sucker. Fantastic photo.

Could you give me the coordinate of this structure. I'm guessing it's at the SNowy Hydro scheme. And I'm guessing there is a huge turbine down the bottom of this structure and when they flood the dam the pipe fills with water which turns the turbine. Wizard am I correct?

it is a spillway, therefore no turbine at the bottom
why can't u tell us where any of this stuff is? It all looks so awsum but i dont know how to start. Ive explored some basic tunnels but they were really boring. they were just straight lines but this stuff is awsum

I'm guessing that it's an overflow for a weir or a dam that cannot have a large enough wall to have sliding spillway doors, or over the top spillway... Not quite sure where it is though... I have a feeling it's in NSW somewhere...
I'm thinking... sorta... maybe possibly one of the lakes part of the snowy scheme - starting with 'e' or else, kinda near our infamous ski-slopes which have world renowned snow fall levels... Am I close-ish?

What possible reason could they have for not telling people where this shit is? Mmmm, cos every fucker would go there and some shit would happen and it would be spoiled for the handful who know abou it.
UrbanTwilight...
UrbanTwilight is photographing the underground tunnels, abandoned buildings, rooftops, and hidden industry that most people would never normally get to see. The images contained on this site have been shot in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart, and countless country locations inbetween. Nearly all have been taken in low to very-low lighting conditions, and most on Canon digital equipment.
The Julia Farr Home for Incurables
After sitting vacant for more than 30 years, the Julia Farr Hospital's 'Home for Incurables' has finally been demolished.
Urbantwilight hid a camera on the roof of a neighbouring bulding and filmed the 4 week demolition process. Checkout the timelapse video.

UrbanTwilight turns 10 this year so I've finally made some time between the tunnels and abandoned buildings (and my day job) to make a few improvements around the place.
The images are bigger, the old ones have been colour corrected, and a handful have been given the flick. Most importantly there's a whole new section called 'Archives' -
You should check it out from time to time, you never know what you might find.
The Funnel
An expedition report of sorts, this has been hiding on Urbantwilight for years. 'The Funnel', 'The Pothole', 'Skate or die'. Whatever you choose to call it, this place is awe-inspiring.
