Where was this taken? How can I get access to tunnels in Melbourne? All the stupid media attention has caused the cave clans to shut shop on new members.

This is a former sewer in sydney. Be patient with the caveclan, taking on new members isn't always a high priority.

I understand. You're photos are beautiful. What noises do you hear down there? What smells?

Thank you. I guess you hear a lot of different noises and smells, but there are a few that keep coming back. Sewers have a distinctive smell that can only really be sampled by putting your head down a sewerage vent. Drains often have a cement dust quality to them. And train tunnels are scented with the aroma of break pads. Noises such as rushing water and on-coming trains are sounds i like to hear as little as possible

breakpads = aspestos

Thats exactly right fauxbot. Every train tunnel has asbestos of some form in them, and the older they are the more friable the asbestos is and therefore, more harmful to whoever is breathing it
