The downside of these places is that anything can be in them, syringes, bats, eels, dead animals. Luckily we have the super - human urban explorers to take photos for us. lol Hey wizard? random question, but what's the creepiest place you have ever been in? Like seriously, the eeriest and most disgusting place? always interested to hear these kinds of stories
hmm. Perhaps it's not exactly what you were expecting but Guru and I were once in Port Pirie (SA) to explore a now demolished fuel storage farm. We had some time to kill and the local maccas guys were quick to direct us to a mysterious abandoned facility down the road. I'd say we spent a good couple of hours wandering around amongst large ponds of black scum, piles of orange dirt, and huge un-labled pressure tanks. There wasn't a single sign in the place to tip us off that we were playing in radioactive uranium tailings.
What!! yeh that would be freaky stuff! uranium tailings? would have thought they would have some kind of signage, the council must be runned by a bunch of inbreds and tree monkeys. Where are they when things like this go on lol. I'd be worried about getting cancer....

"...", I've explored in Adelaide more than a few times. I've lost count of how many tunnels tho.
Hey Rascal. Everyone needs a lunch break drain. Although, perhaps not one as wet and smelly as this one was the last time i visited!

UrbanTwilight...
UrbanTwilight is photographing the underground tunnels, abandoned buildings, rooftops, and hidden industry that most people would never normally get to see. The images contained on this site have been shot in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart, and countless country locations inbetween. Nearly all have been taken in low to very-low lighting conditions, and most on Canon digital equipment.
The Julia Farr Home for Incurables
After sitting vacant for more than 30 years, the Julia Farr Hospital's 'Home for Incurables' has finally been demolished.
Urbantwilight hid a camera on the roof of a neighbouring bulding and filmed the 4 week demolition process. Checkout the timelapse video.

UrbanTwilight turns 10 this year so I've finally made some time between the tunnels and abandoned buildings (and my day job) to make a few improvements around the place.
The images are bigger, the old ones have been colour corrected, and a handful have been given the flick. Most importantly there's a whole new section called 'Archives' -
You should check it out from time to time, you never know what you might find.
The Funnel
An expedition report of sorts, this has been hiding on Urbantwilight for years. 'The Funnel', 'The Pothole', 'Skate or die'. Whatever you choose to call it, this place is awe-inspiring.

If you think this shit is cool and you plan on becoming the next K-rad-elite drain explorer, then you need to read this. It could save your life.
Then the second.
Followed closely by the third, forth and fifth.
